Word of the Year
On December 30th, I was looking through my Instagram account, where I follow friends and family. I also follow some Catholic and Christian groups and individuals. A post jumped out at me, so I saved the images. Every morning for the past 2 weeks, this post has popped into my head and heart. I don't know about all of you, but I can use as much help in my spiritual life as I can get. I seem to have good days and bad days. When I let God lead me, my days are good, manageable, better. When I decide that I can push through on my own or when I second guess my gut, my days tend to be a little longer and less than I want. He is the key. I know this and yet I continue to go out on my own, which is why I very often feel like a hypocrite when it is my week to write.
But the past couple weeks of this new year have felt inspired. Not in me but in this post that I found. It is a Catholic company called Just Love Prints. The post was about finding a phrase for 2023 to help inspire and motivate you. So I have clipped the images and added them to this week's writing. After reading and going over them, I have decided to choose one to focus on for a few weeks. Personally my plan is to use part of my prayer time each day to think about my phrase. I have chosen the time from now until my next Faith Friday.
I included all of the images for you to view, but in this new year my first new year's focus is going to be on the word "ruah." I need the Holy Spirit to breathe life into me and to guide me be open to His will. I hope to work this phrase into my prayer life and spend time with it. I was in need of inspiration and really found these images to be powerful. I hope you find some inspiration in a phrase or two and that it enriches you in a multitude of ways. God bless.
